Job Description:

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and own SEO strategy across owned content for Communications team

  • Collaborate across teams to target audiences, develop and execute growth strategies, and to help drive an SEO-mindset internally, explaining concepts and promoting best practice behaviors before and during content development

  • Leads the production of advanced and detailed keyword research to identify the most effective and targeted key phrases/topics with high ROI

  • Create URLs to maximize content performance Analyze SEO data to inform, identify emerging content trends and to help boost organic search rankings

  • Review performance metrics and prepare monthly SEO, analytics reports to identify search and user-related issues

  • Regularly monitor Google to be aware of algorithm updates and SEO trends Write and/or produce 2-3 stories per week to support business goals

  • Take ownership of and advise on image optimization with metadata that search engines crawlers can read and understand; name image files with relevant, descriptive keywords to improve search visibility

  • Continually gain professional visibility by developing, updating and sharing SEO tip sheet to guide executive-level content

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for the position, $72,000 - $112,000 is based on a full-time schedule. If you're hired into New York City work location the compensation range for the position, $79,000 - $123,000. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 4 years of SEO writing experience, with thorough knowledge of the SEO landscape, best practices and techniques

  • Solid understanding of how to use SEO and analytics to inform content creation

  • Well-versed in measuring, managing, analyzing and reporting on search, traffic and consumption behaviors

  • Experience writing digital and/or editorial content optimized for B2B and B2C audiences

  • Knows how to use platforms and tools like Adobe Analytics, Keyword Surfer and SEMRush

  • An entrepreneurial spirit that helps Kyndryls content reach larger audiences globally.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Experience in developing SEO strategy

  • A journalist and/or writer with digital newsroom experience, who is skilled at writing and developing content optimized for search engines

  • Knowledge and/or interest in technology

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team setting

  • BA/BS in journalism, communications, or relevant field
