We’re looking for a Senior Web Content Strategist who is both a strong strategist and a talented writer. You should understand that good content is more than just words. It should have a clear purpose and help organizations reach their goals.
You’ll review existing content, identify what works and what doesn’t, find gaps, and create clear content plans. You’ll also write content that is easy to understand, engaging, and appropriate for different audiences and platforms.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Web Content Strategist, you’ll help plan, create, and improve content for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Create web content strategies: Research audiences, review existing content, study competitors, and develop plans for creating and organizing content.

Work with creative teams: Collaborate with designers, creative directors, and digital strategists to create content that works well with visual designs.

Work with clients: Communicate directly with clients to make sure content plans meet their goals, deadlines, and overall vision.

Follow content best practices: Use SEO, accessibility, and web-writing best practices when creating content.

Adapt to different brands: Write in different brand voices and follow each client's style guidelines.

Manage website content: Create, edit, and organize content using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, and Sitecore.

Keep up with trends: Stay informed about new content practices, technology, and AI tools. Help clients use these tools responsibly.

Support other marketing projects: Help with email campaigns, paid advertising, social media ads, and creative brainstorming.

Support business development: Help create proposals, edit presentations, and develop content for potential clients.

Review other writers’ work: Give useful feedback and help improve content before it is delivered to clients.
What We’re Looking For

Experience: At least 5 years of professional writing experience, preferably with a digital agency. A related degree or equivalent professional or military experience is preferred.

Content expertise: Strong understanding of web content strategy, UX writing, content design, and digital marketing copy.

Creativity: Able to develop fresh and original content ideas.

Versatility: Comfortable writing for different industries, brands, and audiences.

Technical Capabilities: Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, and Sitecore.

Project management: Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and details while maintaining quality.

Teamwork: Works well with others, accepts feedback, and contributes positively to the team.

Attention to detail: Strong grammar, editing, proofreading, and writing Capabilities.

Nonprofit experience: Understanding of nonprofit organizations, fundraising, and their content needs is helpful.
Bonus Capabilities
You’ll have an advantage if you have:
- SEO experience, including keyword research and tools such as SEMrush or Ahrefs.
- Knowledge of AI trends and prompt engineering.
- Experience with content management tools such as GatherContent, Slickplan, or Bynder Content Workflow.
What We Offer
- Salary of $82,500 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience and Capabilities.
