Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript) - Direct Hire - Remote (Boston, MA preferred)

Optomi, in partnership with a parking technology startup, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build their payments platform. Their product eliminates the need for ticket kiosks in parking lots, creating a seamless, fully digital parking experience. Through the use of AI, computer vision, and automation, this platform powers access, payments, and reporting for the company. Experience of the right candidate:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background
• Advanced TypeScript expertise, including API design and strong typing
• Deep understanding of payments systems (Stripe), banking integrations (Plaid), and financial reporting infrastructure
• Experience building data pipelines, ETL/ELT systems, and analytics with Snowflake and DBT
• Hands-on experience with React, Vite, Tailwind, and modern monorepo setups (e.g., Turborepo)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a startup or fast-scaling environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with ConvexDB, Bun runtime, or similar modern back-end technologies
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration, including RAG pipelines and AI SDKs (e.g., Vercel AI, Claude Code, Cursor)
• Knowledge of authorization frameworks like Clerk, Permit.io, or WorkOS
• Exposure to DevOps and observability tools such as Axiom, PostHog, and Balena MDM
• Experience in fintech, mobility, or real estate tech startups a plus
