Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript) - Direct Hire - Remote (Boston, MA preferred)

Optomi, in partnership with a parking technology startup, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build their payments platform. Their product eliminates the need for ticket kiosks in parking lots, creating a seamless, fully digital parking experience. Through the use of AI, computer vision, and automation, this platform powers access, payments, and reporting for the company. Experience of the right candidate:

1. 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background
2. Advanced TypeScript expertise, including API design and strong typing
3. Deep understanding of payments systems (Stripe), banking integrations (Plaid), and financial reporting infrastructure
4. Experience building data pipelines, ETL/ELT systems, and analytics with Snowflake and DBT
5. Hands-on experience with React, Vite, Tailwind, and modern monorepo setups (e.g., Turborepo)
6. Strong collaboration and communication skills in a startup or fast-scaling environment

Preferred qualifications:

1. Experience with ConvexDB, Bun runtime, or similar modern back-end technologies
2. Familiarity with AI/ML integration, including RAG pipelines and AI SDKs (e.g., Vercel AI, Claude Code, Cursor)
3. Knowledge of authorization frameworks like Clerk, Permit.io, or WorkOS
4. Exposure to DevOps and observability tools such as Axiom, PostHog, and Balena MDM
5. Experience in fintech, mobility, or real estate tech startups a plus
