We’re looking for a senior SEO (Content) Specialist who knows how to operate without handholding. Someone who can research, write, and execute a content strategy that dominates search rankings in the veteran benefits space. If you’ve got the track record, the mindset, and the skill to lead our SEO without needing a playbook—you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Own our SEO and content strategy from top to bottom—acquisition, rankings, and revenue attribution.
• Research, write, and edit landing pages, blog posts, product copy, and campaign captions with both SEO and conversion in mind.
• Run competitive keyword research and stay ahead of shifting VA policy, Google updates, and veteran search behavior.
• Build and manage a living content calendar—driven by data, not guesswork.
• Conduct ongoing audits to improve existing content and optimize internal linking, structure, and readability.
• Track, measure, and report on SEO KPIs: rankings, traffic, CTR, conversions, and content-driven revenue.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on veteran-related terminology, conditions, and claims processes.
• Create content that’s not just SEO-optimized but actually useful to veterans navigating a broken system.
• Collaborate with leadership and marketing, but operate with full autonomy.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in SEO content roles, preferably in competitive niches or mission-driven companies.
• A portfolio or case studies that prove you can grow organic traffic and drive conversion—don’t just tell us, show us.
• Serious writing chops—concise, clean, compelling copy across long-form and conversion copy formats.
• Strong understanding of the VA system, veteran culture, and the nuances of writing for this audience (personal or professional experience both welcome).
• Fully capable of owning SEO tools and workflows: GSC, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Surfer, etc.
• Deep knowledge of Google’s ranking signals, E-E-A-T, and modern content strategy.
• You think in terms of outcomes—not tasks—and you’re the kind of person who pushes hard because it matters.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,328.00 - $115,000.00 per year
