Job Description:

Join the Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) organization and help revolutionize the Business Aviation industry. Our Mobile Applications are highly praised by our Business Aviation customers and are used by the majority of the Business Aviation industry. As a senior software engineer on the ARINCDirect mobile team, you will be responsible for the technical design, coding, debugging, and support of complex iPadOS applications. We are looking for someone with a strong background in building native iOS apps. 

The iOS Engineer will: 

  • Collaborate with our product team members to design and implement features requests 

  • Partner with engineers to build intuitive and mobile-optimized solutions 

  • Demonstrate strong software development fundamentals with an eye for design and architecture 
  • Explore and advocate for Software Engineer best practices 
  • Assist in debugging, and supporting a complex iOS application 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Ability to write clear and high-performance code in Swift 

  • Ability to read and understand ObjC code 

  • Ability to dive into and understand large, multi-project codebases 
  • Ability to break-down large feature requests and architect practical solutions 
  • Passion for quality and close attention to details 
  • Aptitude to independently learn new technologies 
  • Strong communication skills, capable of owning end-to-end relationships with customers at all levels 
  • Collaborative teammate who can work effectively with other engineers across various teams and geographical locations 

Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
