We are looking for an HR Lead (Senior HR Manager) for this high growth business unit reporting to the Managing Director, Kohler Ventures.

A self-starter, and someone who is equally comfortable leading the Strategic HR Objectives for Kohler Ventures, as well as delivering the day to day generalist tasks that are needed to keep the business moving. We are seeking someone who is flexible, adaptable, and solutions focused, and who is willing to push boundaries and challenge the norm.

This role provides an opportunity to make a difference in an organization operating in a startup mode.

Travel Requirements: 10-25%

In your role as HR Lead for Kohler Ventures, you will:
  • Work directly with the General Manager of the venture to define the people strategy of the global business unit
  • Meet talent and culture objectives that support the business to meet and exceed key milestones in the path to revenue
  • Lead recruiting effort to significantly grow the team in 2023 while maintaining a high bar for new talent.
  • Recruit foundational 10X team in early days of the business with high competence, high entrepreneurial tenacity, and high leadership. Focus on attracting talent that are proven product, business and venture builders.
  • Develop an integrated global best-in-class, multi-disciplinary team across strategy and operations, product management, design, data science, software and hardware engineering, advanced R&D, sales and marketing.
  • Create pathways and structures for growth within Kohler Ventures and across the organization.
  • Create a workplace that celebrates and performs diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels
  • Partner across the Kohler HR COEs to develop recruiting, compensation and talent development strategies that support a fast-paced, new business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
     
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience leading people operations at a startup, high growth business unit, or top tier management consulting firm
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with C level and business unit leadership to achieve people strategies that support rapid business growth
  • Prior experience recruiting, retaining, and developing a best-in class team across technical and business roles
  • Experience in global HR operations across countries and cultures
  • Experience in acquiring and integrating businesses
  • Demonstration of entrepreneurial tenacity, distinctive competence, and people leadership in prior roles
  • Strong executive presentation skills
  • Able and willing to travel (10 – 25%)
  • Able and willing to work in hybrid mode (approx. 3 days in office)
     

The salary range for this position is $125,700 to $222,250. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential/Cost of Living Adjustment at 30% of base salary, the salary range including ASD for this position. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive, which together contribute significantly to the total compensation package. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
