About you

VSCO is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead work around our community experiences on our iOS app and website. As a member of our Design & Research team, the company will look to you to drive clarity around the needs and aspirations of photographers and develop creative solutions to address them.. You will lead close collaboration with our Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing teams to deliver thoughtful experiences that impact millions of creators worldwide.

The day-to-day

• Shape strategy for our community experience alongside Product and Engineering leads
• Own projects across their full design lifecycle – from testing early concepts through detailed specification
• Partner with Product, Data, and Research to drive insights around business opportunities and user goals
• Work closely with Engineering to ensure the quality of what we ship
• Flex between exploring broad concepts and executing tactical features
• Leverage and inform our shared design system and brand language
• Serve as an advocate for creators within the company

Qualifications

• Keen interest in redefining how creative communities come together in digital spaces
• An understanding of photography basics
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates experience identifying new strategic opportunity area, a strong attention to detail, and user-centric craftsmanship
• Experience designing for iOS apps as well as responsive web across desktop and mobile
• A track record of shipping iteratively within business and technical constraints
• The ability to communicate your process and solicit feedback collaboratively in a remote environment
• Proficiency with Figma and standard modern design and presentation tools
• Familiarity with the creator experience and digital creative platforms

Compensation

The base salary for this position may vary based on several factors, including the approved job level. The base salary range for this role is $169,260 - $180,000. Salary is one component of our total compensation package. This position also qualifies for bonuses and equity (i.e. stock options). The benefits available for this position include flexible time off, a 401K retirement plan, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short and long term disability), and 11 paid holidays. We also provide paid sick time as required by state and local law. Additional benefits and perks are also offered for this position.
