The Job

As a Research Associate, you are involved in all aspects of investment manager research and financial market analysis. You will support the manager due diligence and monitoring processes - including data retrieval, analysis, and written commentary. Effective communication skills and the ability to independently develop analysis are all critical ingredients for success in the position.

You'll be responsible for:

• Participating in the manager due diligence process through performance analysis, universe screens, writing meeting notes and quarterly highlights, authoring reports, and performing other related activities at the direction of the lead Research Analyst.
• Assisting in authoring monthly and quarterly market commentaries.
• Providing general research and tactical support to senior professionals, including special projects, asset class implementation research, client reviews, and market/manager analysis.
• Preparing reports, presentations, and other documents for clients and internal asset class and investment committees; effectively and concisely communicating (both written and verbal) information to internal and external audiences.
• Coordinating and collaborating with various departments to fulfill client needs.
• Reviewing relevant trade journals to identify industry trends, market developments, and/or material manager events regularly.

We're looking for:

• At least three years of finance industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance or business-related field
• Experience in fixed income or other asset classes including: flexible capital (ie , hedge funds), global equity, private equity, and real assets
• Experience using QuickBase, eVestment, FactSet, Investmetrics, and/or Morningstar preferred
