EpochGeo is looking for a Developer to support one of the most innovative, exciting, and growing offices in the national security space.

Are you a developer who loves to work with a multi-discipline team to help transition desktop workflows and algorithms to automated tools. EpochGeo is looking for developers to help unlock the potential of geospatial data, with the goal of surfacing insights from raw data that ultimately help analysts be more effective at answering mission requirements.

Location-based big data can be overwhelming, inaccessible, and noisy. EpochGeo is a data services firm specializing in supporting the full spectrum data cycle: beginning with scalable data storage, building algorithms or workflows, and ending with impactful analytics. Our developers, analysts, and data scientists have a proven track record applying open-source innovative technology, data science, and actionable analytics to inform customers’ data driven decisions.

Your background likely includes:

• 1 - 5+ years of developing scripts or software development (Python preferred).
• Education or military experience in Intelligence, Geography, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
• Experience with large volume data (preferably geospatial), multi-INT analytics, or automated analytics.
• Experience with open-source software, to include Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, GDAL, Shapely or PySpark.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud services.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with Analysts and Data Scientists to transition manual workflows to automated analytics.
• Scripting Jupyter Notebooks to automate manual methods.
• Leverage spatial data to develop and recommend automated insight methodologies.
• Create automated workflows or algorithms and machine learning models from big data to discover insights.
• Innovating with data storage and scalable processing.

Additional:

Must hold a DoD TS clearance
