DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking a well-rounded, organized, thorough and proactive Production Manager (Associate) to support our U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client account. This includes two high-profile national public awareness campaigns addressing terrorism-related suspicious activity and human trafficking, each with a dedicated Project Manager. In this role, you will serve as the account’s Production Manager, coordinating all graphic design-related projects. You will provide client communications, vendor management, account administration and tracking of written and graphic products, and coordination with our in-house, full-service graphic design studio.
Location: DCG is made up of a primarily remote workforce. The selected candidate will work remotely during DCG’s core Eastern Time (ET) business hours.
More specifics of the role:
Client communications and project management
- Intake design requests directly from the client (or account team members) and conduct the necessary coordination of the project from start to final delivery to the client. This includes but is not limited to:
- Timeline development – capture roles, responsibilities, and key delivery points
- Process/project management – ask questions, understand need/specs of the request, communicate timelines, deliver all relevant deliverables, interpret, and relay client feedback to account and design teams; manage timelines and deadlines, while communicating with internal team members.
- Understand nuances of the clients and their unique content and objectives
Vendor management
- Upon intake client request, obtain quotes create work orders, etc. from appropriate vendor
- Responsible for maintaining relationship with vendor and tracking projects and timelines, holding vendor accountable
- Vendors include but are not limited to motion graphics/animation video, translation, photography, live action video, and website design and analysis services
Account Administration
- Provide updates to various internal trackers for client updates, the types and volume of products the team is creating, and maintenance of the monthly status report
- Manage account trackers related to our production/design work
- Coordinate account trackers related to weekly and monthly account work
- Support end-of-year reporting to be delivered to client
Position Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience providing client communications, ideally within an agency environment
- Familiarity with graphic design processes and language
- Comfortable conducting client intake, determining needs and coordinating with internal team members to ensure the correct resources are allocated to meet requirements
- Experience with end-to-end task management to include planning, execution and reporting
- Ability and comfort managing up and down to ensure projects are moving smoothing and in alignment with timelines and resource allocation
- Experience with multifaceted communications projects to include vendor coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and client management skills
- Comfortable and effective working independently and with a team
- Possess a teamwork mentality willing to support other tasks unrelated to primary daily role
- Possess high degree of professionalism, both with client and internal team communications and interactions
- A strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done quickly and with high quality
- Ability to foresee and proactively address unaccounted for project needs or issues/risk
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust clearance
