Job Description
The Product Designer has strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills. You have consideration for your users and listen attentively to feedback to understand the problem and find meaningful and useful solutions. Curiosity and continuous learning come naturally to you. You are able to gather significant information and put it to use in a purposeful and relevant way.
Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our users.
Design flows and experiences that are simple and intuitive.
Contribute to strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams.
Give and solicit feedback from vendors, team members, and other departments in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
Work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX researchers, vendors, and other stakeholders to bridge the gap between design and development.
Practice an iterative design process to participate in weekly releases.
Maintain consistency across digital products and clean up outdated features.
Qualifications
Our ideal Product Designer will possess the following qualifications:
Relevant undergraduate degree or formal qualification
8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design
Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, and Figma
A strong understanding of how to apply design thinking when planning and scoping project work
Experience in contributing towards a design system
A portfolio that demonstrates functional designs across desktop and mobile devices
A user-centric mindset
Strong wireframing/prototyping skills
Experience partnering with engineers to release features, products, and/or services
Strong visual and verbal communication skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Experience in planning and conducting user research and competitor analysis
The ability to interpret data and qualitative feedback
Determine information architecture and create sitemaps
Understanding of interaction design principles
Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
Nice to have but not required: understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript

We are seeking candidates in the Greater Indianapolis area who can work in a hybrid setting (in-office and remote).
