Position Overview

The Performance Analyst will support the Apollo Diversified Real Estate Fund (ADREF) investment management team as it relates to Apollo’s real estate investment offerings. ADREF is a $6 billion perpetual investment solution that offers individual investors access to an actively managed diversified portfolio of both private and public real estate securities. ADREF leverages the institutional knowledge across the broader Apollo platform to generate investment ideas and drive returns. This position provides the opportunity to work closely across multiple disciplines within Apollo, its affiliates, and its joint venture partners, including investment management, accounting, legal, compliance, marketing, and sales.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform research and prepare materials and reports to support the ADREF investment management team which may include information related to Apollo’s investment offerings as well as competitive offerings, financial markets, and market and investment fundamentals
  • Monitor and measure the performance of investment offerings and provide analytics in support of the sales and investment management teams to ensure data integrity and operating efficiencies
  • Review the accuracy of reports and materials prepared both in-house and by third parties
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based models that are based on various business assumptions such as Equity Raise, Capital Deployment, Acquisition Cap Rates (NOI/Purchase Price), Debt Rates, among many others
  • Work with various functional groups within the company to develop accurate and reasonable data and assumptions to utilize in the model
  • Support the investment management team through maintenance of a database containing property level statistics of the firm’s investments, as well as completion of ad hoc requests
  • Provide competitive analysis on real estate offerings and maintain competitive intelligence of their activities
  • Respond to requests for information (“RFIs”), preparing detailed summaries of investment offerings, and preparing various forms of financial analysis, as requested
  • Effectively communicate specific details about investment offerings and answer questions both in-person and over the phone

Pay Range

$85,000 - $100,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or a related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience and/or training in the investment management or services industry
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, real estate and other investment vehicles, as well as understanding of financial statements, basic real estate terms, and the competitive landscape
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and ability to synthesize complex or diverse information
  • Strong time management skills, ability to complete projects on time and budget, as well as manage competing demands and frequently changing timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; excellent attention to detail
  • Exhibits strong judgment - supports and explains reasoning for decisions; includes appropriate people in decision-making process
  • Innovative; presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attention
