Job Summary.

PPTS has grown quickly. Our outpatient and early intervention programs are serving more children and have more therapists on our team than ever. We have also expanded our physical space to a beautiful 6,900-square-foot clinic in Annandale, VA. This exciting growth and our commitment to best practices is requiring the addition of a visionary, dynamic, experienced, and professional leader to join our team.

The ideal candidate has expertise in the management of therapy or medical practices and is interested in collaborating closely with a dedicated team of therapists. They have a strong commitment to quality outcomes and operations that improve our client's and team’s experiences. They also would enjoy the opportunity to strengthen existing systems and processes, while building a solid administrative support team.

Individually, the Practice Manager will be responsible for:

  • Addressing the current and growing administrative needs of the practice.
  • Employee recruitment and onboarding, training and management of the front office administrative team, compensation and benefits, payroll and company policies, and compliance.
  • Designing PPTS’ administrative team structure.
  • Contracts administration and operational management and regulations.
  • Meeting mutually agreed upon operational performance goals.


The Practice Manager and the administrative team will be responsible for:

  • Care management includes family experience, client resolution, and compliance with payer requirements.
  • Collaboration with the Business Officer to optimize the practice’s budget to align with financial goals.
  • Technology and facility management.
  • Weekly and monthly statistical reporting.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s in business administration, healthcare management, or a relevant field is preferred. Equivalent experience is considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as an office manager or higher for a therapy or medical practice.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in understanding and analyzing general ledgers, attendance reports, revenue reports, etc.
  • Must have a working knowledge of modern office technology including Electronic Health Records, equipment, etc.
  • Proficient with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows 10, Internet, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of health insurance processes related to coverage, claims, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of laws and ethics related to health insurance billing and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Completion of an FBI Background Check.
  • Negative TB test.
  • Proof of full vaccinations against COVID-19.

Desired qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Supervisory experience of people managers.
  • Experience with pediatric practices.
