Part-Time Mid-level position open at this Women’s Clothing company

Looking for dedicated individuals for the Technical Design department in meeting & maintaining specifications & fit of all products. Responsible for reviewing samples for measurements, construction & quality. Excel proficiency is required as fit comments, specs & grading are communicated to factories in Excel format.

The right individual will have:

- Attention to details – participating & taking accurate notes during fit sessions;

- Measuring skills – able to accurately measure all samples; knowing format for measuring each garment type; knowing grade rules for each garment type.

- Sense of urgency – understand priorities and be proactive

- Consistent performance – know & own workload; communicate problems; be a team player

- Passion for product – willing to take on specific categories & learn new ones

- CAD skills – using Excel Draw to give factories details fit corrections

- Communication skills – email factories daily; interface with Merchants for Private Label accounts;

- Organizational skills – track & log in samples; maintain & update fit schedules; arrange samples pre- & post fitting; maintain sample closet

- Ability to multi task – prioritize workload to accomplish daily goals & deadlines;

Qualifications

- College or Technical Degree in Technical Design and/or Patternmaking

- At least three to five years for Technical Designer

- Strong verbal & written communication skills a must

- Strong Technical skill proficiency using MS Office: Excel, Word and Gmail

- Patternmaking skills an asset

- Experience in Women’s garments, socks, and hosiery a plus
