Work Schedule: Standard business hours

Travel: 10% – 25%


Position Summary

Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Operational Test & Evaluation Analyst to support Department of Defense Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) activities in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position supports special studies and operational assessments involving current and emerging technologies. The selected candidate will help define threats to operational missions, develop test methodologies and data-collection plans, support the execution of test events, analyze results, and produce formal reports and briefings. The analyst’s work will provide senior leaders with objective information and recommendations used to evaluate technologies, improve system designs, and protect operational missions worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct analytical activities to identify and define threats to the operational missions being assessed.

Provide critical information, findings, and recommendations to support senior-leader decision-making.

Attend meetings and conduct interviews with customers and other stakeholders to support the development of special-study briefings and final reports.

Work independently or as part of a team to develop test methodologies, scenarios, procedures, and data-collection plans that ensure test adequacy.

Assist with the preparation and execution of operational test events.

Collect, analyze, evaluate, and document test data and results.

Prepare recommendations and participate in technical discussions regarding the adequacy, suitability, and performance of technologies and system designs.

Produce formal test and special-study reports in accordance with established organizational standards.

Assist with developing and delivering preliminary briefings describing special-study findings and test results.

Consolidate test results produced by other analysts and engineers and integrate those findings into complete, accurate, and polished reports.

Maintain and update reports as additional test results and technical information become available.

Conduct periodic research involving current, emerging, or existing technologies relevant to assigned assessments.

Lead an assessment team when required or support another team as a test-event data collector.

Communicate progress, findings, risks, and recommendations to customers, team members, and organizational leadership.

Manage multiple projects, changing schedules, and short-suspense assignments while maintaining the quality and accuracy of deliverables.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least five years of relevant experience; master’s degree in a related field with at least three years of relevant experience; PhD or Juris Doctor (JD) in a related field with no required years of relevant experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with at least nine years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience performing research, analysis, test and evaluation, data collection, technical assessments, formal reporting, or comparable analytical work.

Strong self-motivation and a desire to learn and understand unfamiliar technologies.

Ability to become productive quickly and perform effectively with minimal supervision.

Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing schedules, and meet short-suspense deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to rapidly understand new technologies, resolve complex problems, overcome technical and organizational obstacles, and achieve positive results.

Ability to lead a team when required or serve as a hands-on data collector during test events.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Experience working with multilevel classified information systems in a secure office environment.

Desired Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience supporting Department of Defense RDT&E, operational test and evaluation, or special-study activities.

Experience developing test methodologies, scenarios, procedures, or data-collection plans.

Experience analyzing technical data and developing formal reports, briefings, findings, and recommendations.

Experience presenting analytical findings to customers or organizational leadership.
