Overview and Responsibilities

Feld Advertising is looking for a Director of Media to oversee the media team and continue to build out the agency’s media capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a natural self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. This person should be adept at planning, executing, and optimizing media campaigns, and is ambitious, detail-oriented, organized, and an excellent communicator. You will know how to identify and recruit top talent to build out the media team. You are not only a great leader but are also willing and able to execute the work.

 To succeed in this role, the Director of Media must be able to lead and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously on established deadlines with a sense of urgency. While this role is responsible for all media, Feld has an immediate priority to build out our digital capabilities and team structure.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

●      Building client relationships and providing strategic guidance for all media planning efforts (linear, digital, social, search, etc.)

●      Ensure media plans deliver against business goals and client KPI’s

●      Outlining desired team structure and scoping media projects to meet client needs

●      Lead the overall media planning approach by linking media strategy and brand objectives

●      Manage and anticipate client needs, identify opportunities for growth and performance optimization

●      Experience negotiating with media vendors, networks, partners, and provide a final negotiated recommendation to the client (including linear and digital upfronts)

●      Proficient with ad serving, programmatic, and social buying platforms and tools, with an ability to dive deep into the platforms to ensure buy management effectiveness and efficiency

●      Ability to develop media recommendations for new business pitches and confidently sell in ideas

●      Manage budgets across multiple initiatives

●      Develop media POVs as needed in response to client and planning team requests

●      Work and collaborate with other key agency and departmental leads in client services, creative, production, analytics, operations, finance, etc.

●      Supervise and train members of the media team

 

Qualifications  

●      8+ years of experience in an agency or client-side marketing department with a proven track record of building and managing teams

●      Extensive background planning, executing, and optimizing linear and digital media campaigns

●      Experience working with, communicating to, and influencing senior-level clients. Able to confidently present and sell through ideas to internal teams and external partners

●      Analytical, performance-driven mindset

●      Understanding of how to vet and onboard new media systems, processes, and workflows

●      Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and hard deadlines

●      Familiarity with MRI, CM360, Kantar, and Tableau a plus

●      Ability and willingness to travel as neededFosters team building and collaboration


Compensation

Feld is an established (20+ years in business), yet rapidly growing, full-service advertising agency. We are looking for candidates who are excited by the growth opportunity provided. We will offer a competitive total compensation package to the right candidates, with a salary between $140,000 - $160,000, commensurate with skills and experience. This role can either be based at our San Francisco office (hybrid work model), or fully remote.
