As a Marketing PMO Manager, you will be given the responsibility of making some of our most recognizable, most challenging, and rewarding clients successful in their Marketing Automation and Digital Marketing efforts while leading a team of Project Managers. You will be responsible for the successful launch, maintenance, and growth of our strategic projects. You will proactively build relationships with our clients that will ensure customer satisfaction, project team satisfaction, retention, and growth. Because of our incredibly strong industry brand, you must be prepared to represent Marvel Marketers with our clients delivering a level of service above and beyond expectations. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience managing marketing execution projects leveraging marketing automation software.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Management:
- Direct and manage project development from inception through delivery across named Enterprise Accounts.
- Be a key leader on the project team, working seamlessly with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders.
- Build and Manage standardized Project Plans against your accounts, as well as your team, ensuring all projects are on time, in scope and within budget.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and advise on corrective actions.
- Manage and oversee the execution of all processes/workflows within client projects, from Intake through QA to customer delivery and maintenance, to include but not limited to managing your own project calendar, as well as overseeing your team’s calendars, internal and external calls, notes/action items, as well as creating and maintaining project documentation.
- Ensure that the project team has the right processes and communication plan to do their work
- Be the expert in building valuable relationships with our clients to ensure retention and proactive management of recurring multi-year accounts.
- Closely engage, manage, and nurture our projects to identify and eliminate the risk of a poor client experience.
- Establish yourself as an extension of our client’s teams as a trusted advisor and help them make key business decisions that will directly impact their business.
- Approve timesheets for project team members.
- Provide reports to both CSM and stakeholders
People Management:
- Lead a team of Project Managers and will be responsible for building out a successful project management function.
- Serve as the main point of contact for any project escalations through the customer success managers to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
- Identify and standardize processes, tools, and activities that scale globally.
- Will partner with Customer Success Managers to ensure the successful delivery and coordination of QBR’s, both internal and client-facing, for all clients.
- Hire, train, mentor, and coach team members, ensuring client and staff satisfaction improves with each interaction.
- Manage team member escalations regarding performance issues.
- Provide career development guidance, using our formal career development planning program.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5-7 years of project management experience, ideally within the marketing automation field and/or in a marketing agency environment.
- 2-3 years of people management experience.
- Proficiency in one or more project management software(s).
- Enterprise experience, ideally with a Fortune 100 Company.
- Experience in the digital marketing space, ideally with Marketo and Salesforce.
- Expert ability to communicate value to very sophisticated clients, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to be flexible, agile, and quick to adapt
- Proven track record of success and professionalism
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong preference for building/establishing templates, repeatable processes, and structure
- Strong collaboration and skills in building positive and fun team cultures
