JSD is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and imaginative Marketing Coordinator to join our upbeat and creative Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about marketing and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative industry that is improving communities across the U.S. As a Marketing professional, you will have the chance to work on various AEC discipline marketing and business development initiatives and contribute to the growth and celebration of our staff and company.

Responsibilities:

Writing:

· Assists in developing company social media posts on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

· Assists in creating, designing, and facilitating promotional material content (website, social media, brochures, etc).

· Work with Marketing Team and JSD staff to produce the JSD E-Newsletter features, articles, research, and layout

· Design, coordinate, and distribute monthly targeted emails

· Create one-page project features for use in Marketing and Business Development

Design:

-Assist with graphic design needs (using Adobe Creative Suite Design package and/or Canva)

-promotional pieces (brochures, posters, etc.)

-advertising designs

-social media imagery

-internal and external signage and other creative needs

Client Management:

· Assist with project/client research

· Assist with coordinating client events

· Help manage new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to track information on current/potential clients

Common daily duties:

-Assist with managing photography/videography (knowledge of taking photos a plus!)

-Maintain inventory of the firm’s promotional swag & replenish as needed

-Manage JSD’s firm memberships with multiple organizations

-Manage JSD firm/staff registrations and travel accommodations for statewide/nationwide conferences, golf outings, and other events

-Assist with set up/tear down and participation at company booth for conferences/conventions/other outings

-Assist in planning and hosting internal staff events

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field such as: Communications or Public Relations- - Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for creating engaging marketing materials

- Experience in managing social media platforms for marketing purposes

Preferred:

- 2-5 years experience preferred

- Ability to use marketing automation tools for efficient campaign management

- Familiarity with WordPress and HTML5 for website management and customization

- Copywriting skills for crafting persuasive marketing messages

Required Capabilities:

1. Basic knowledge of fundamental social media practices, graphic design, and website design
2. High degree of creative writing skills for all forms of communication as described above
3. High degree of attention to detail, time and task management, and organization.
4. Effective and professional communication skills on multiple platforms, including in-person, phone, email, Teams, and in meetings.
5. Outgoing personality with a comfort level of speaking with event attendees
6. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
7. Creative writing skills to develop compelling content for various marketing channels
8. Knowledge of web design principles to enhance online marketing efforts
9. Familiarity with videography for creating visual content
10. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
11. Ability to multi-task on concurrent responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
12. Ability to work occasional extended hours as required to meet client, event and/or business demands.

Key Milestones for Advancement:

· Has proactively sought to develop writing, design skills, and software proficiency through self-learning avenues.

· Has demonstrated a consistent motivation to learn and improve upon technical skill set

· Consistently demonstrates basic skills and foundational knowledge of social media and marketing trends

· Can prepare promotional pieces (brochures, posters, etc.), advertising designs, social media imagery, and internal and external signage with minimal oversight.

· Demonstrates a basic understanding of disciplines and project planning that JSD is involved in.

· Demonstrates a commitment to advancing JSD Marketing strategies in design work and voicing improvement ideas to better the product.
