Woodbury University invites applications for the position of Marketing & Alumni Affairs Assistant. This position is responsible for providing support to both the Marketing Department and Alumni Affairs Office, working closely with team members to assist in executing marketing initiatives and maintaining alumni engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about marketing, communications, and building lasting relationships with alumni.

Salary/Hourly Range: $22.00 - $24.00 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
Responsibilities
1. Marketing_ Support:_
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, digital advertising, and print materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling and engaging content for various channels.
- Assist Digital Marketing Specialist in managing the university's social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and engagement with followers.
- Work with Creative Director to proofread and edit marketing materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to the university's style guidelines.
- Support team to source photos on sites like iStock, Adobe Stock, etc. used for creative materials and campaigns.
2._ Alumni Affairs Support:_
- Support the Alumni Affairs Office in organizing and promoting alumni events, such as mixers, networking functions, and fundraising initiatives.
- Help create and distribute regular alumni newsletters, emails, and other communication materials to keep alumni informed and engaged.
- Maintain alumni portal and database, update contact information as needed.
- Help manage social media channels dedicated to alumni engagement and respond to inquiries and comments.
3._ Administrative Duties:_
- Provide general administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, events, workshops, managing calendars, and maintaining files and records.
- Assist in budget tracking and expense reconciliation for marketing and alumni affairs initiatives using AP system Ariett.
- Collaborate with external vendors, such as printers and graphic designers.
- Archiving completed projects and materials in SharePoint for access by team and members of Woodbury.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with marketing principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms for marketing purposes.
- Experience with content creation and editing.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
