The Warehouse Manufacturing Support Manager 3, First Line Manager (FLM), reports to the Warehousing and Materials Management (ORI-8) Group Leader and provides management and leadership to the Programmatic and Weapon Program Warehouse teams. The objective of the Warehouse is to provide storage, warehousing, shop floor, and logistics in support of the ALDWP mission. The warehouse team manages multiple controlled storage areas throughout the Laboratory (LANL). This warehouse is critical to the ALDWP mission of producing plutonium pits and supports Weapon and Non Programmatic components, classified parts, chemicals, precious metals, M&TE, and consumables for all production activities.
The Manufacturing Support Manager builds a cohesive, high performing team; directs the work activity to meet deliverables; and manages the execution of work in alignment with the organizations vision, goals, and commitments. The Manufacturing Support Manager is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, security, and environmental compliance for the team. The Warehouse Manufacturing Support Manager works closely and coordinates with other ORI-8 Manufacturing Managers to facilitate and prioritize the day-to-day receiving and distribution of facility, programmatic, and maintenance material. The Manufacturing Manager applies wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and Laboratory objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Education/Experience:
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 5 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, 712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
