Job Description:

As the Managing Editor, Developer Relations, you'll lead the charge in crafting and curating compelling content for developer.guidewire.com that educates, inspires, and engages our developer community. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the editorial calendar, coordinating with a team of writers and contributors, and ensuring that all content aligns with our brand voice and strategic objectives. You'll work closely with subject matter experts across the organization to produce high-quality technical articles, tutorials, case studies, and thought leadership pieces that address the needs and interests of our developer audience. With your keen editorial eye and strategic mindset, you'll drive traffic, engagement, and brand awareness while establishing our developer blog as a go-to resource in the P&C industry


Job Description


Responsibilities include:

  1. Publish a minimum of one piece of content (blog post, landing page, video, etc.) per week
  2. Create and manage content strategy & pipeline for the Guidewire Developer Program
  3. Plan and publish developer-focused landing pages for Guidewire products, features, and capabilities
  4. Work with Guidewire product marketing, alliances, and customer teams to align content strategy with other company strategies and initiatives
  5. Conduct, analyze, and publish a yearly Developer Trends and Insights report to establish and reinforce industry thought leadership
  6. Schedule, write, send, and promote monthly Developer Newsletter
  7. Plan social media posts & engagement
  8. Work with Director of Developer Relations to conduct, analyze, and report on a yearly Sense of Community survey
  9. Work with Director of Developer Relations to schedule, plan, and promote the yearly DEVHack virtual competition
  10. Work with the Developer Evangelist, EMEA to incorporate developer feedback into product and site content strategy
  11. Apply SEO expertise to grow organic footprint to developer.guidewire.com


Metrics for success:

  1. Monthly traffic to developer site
  2. Engagement metrics for developer content (time on page, exit/bounce rates, CTA engagement)
  3. Developer Newsletter subscriber growth
  4. Email engagement metrics for Developer Newsletter

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $215,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
