Our client is an ingredients food manufacturer based in Iron Ridge, WI. The mission for the Maintenance Manager is to be a team member that is dependable, takes initiative, and manages our maintenance, grounds, and facility staff. You will have responsibility for the direct completion of engineering and maintenance projects by performing necessary duties personally or through assigned direct or indirect team. Successful candidates MUST HAVE 4-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a food processing plant environment.

• $100,000 – $120,000 compensation range

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Lead day to day activities of directing, controlling, and coordinating all phases of the Maintenance Department.
• Directs the planning, development and implementation of new methods and procedure changes designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and equipment.
• Facilitate opportunities for capital equipment purchases to help scale the business. This will include needs assessment, project scoping, ROI analysis, and implementation timelines.
• Maintain P&L responsibility over maintenance cost centers, repair and maintenance, maintenance labor, utilities, and capital improvement plans.
• Provides management of team members to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management.
• Keep the exterior of the building maintained including snow removal, salting & clearing of walkways to ensure employee safety.
• Remains current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation

Competencies Needed for Success:

• 5+ years maintenance management experience
• Ability to manage a plant engineering and maintenance budget and how to manage internal/external engineering resources.
• Strong process improvement background with at least 5 years direct process improvement experience.
• Must have previous experience in the design & implementation of preventive maintenance programs and management of capital projects.
• Ability to plan organize and prioritize workload, work independently or in a team setting.
• Must possess experience in leadership, mathematical, computer and analytical skills.
• BS in a relevant Engineering discipline (mechanical, industrial, etc.) not required, but preferred.
