ROLE DESCRIPTION: Logistics Coordinator
As a key resource within the Operations organization, the Logistics Coordinator will manage day-to-day customer orders for a fast growing, venture capital backed organization. Your focus will be delivering unrivaled customer service through excellent oral and written customer communications. You will be expected to continually improve cost, efficiency, asset utilization, and customer service performance across our various program/business networks.
The primary function or overall purpose of your position is to ensure Reusability Customers have satisfaction with the key work processes associated with Reusability Customer Programs. You will be reducing friction, solving problems, and providing exceptional service to all stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of Reusability Service Providers to ensure compliance and alignment with customer requirements and contractual obligations. Benchmark and set performance targets for each
- Drive continuous improvement through project management and metrics improvement.
- Investigate customer OS&D claims, customer service issues, and take appropriate corrective actions with Logistics Service Providers
- Develop and continually refine/improve operational and administrative processes to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
- Assist and manage company deployed projects or programs.
- Assist in administration of network.
- Informs, trains, councils, and guides customers and operations (internal & external) on various operational tasks including inventory, financial reconciliations, data entry, process standardization, process improvement, customer on-boarding/off-boarding, reporting, metrics generation, and other administrative functions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within area of responsibility through gaining advanced understanding of operational requirements and working with stakeholders to optimize business and process flows.
- Assist and support in the updating, modifying, implementing, training, using and/or improving of Reusability IT systems to better supports our customers, and our supplier’s needs, requirements, and objectives.
- Assure that Reusability has access to accurate and timely logistics data and information so that continuous improvement initiatives or business improvement initiatives can be on-going.
- Promote continuous improvement in process and personnel through the development and administration of a relevant skills enhancement (training) program.
- Reverse Logistics visits to Logistics Customers and Providers (as needed).
- Document collection and verifying timely pick-ups and deliveries
- Track and resolve issues within the account to ensure optimal service for the customer. Log issues within Issue Tracker.
- Drive reconciliation of service exceptions through generation of applicable reports and data (overdue service dates, excused service failures, refresh reports, etc)
- Assist with sub-tasks related to special projects (data gathering, analysis, and report backs)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field with at least one year of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience with Domestic Transportation and Logistics including the understanding of reverse logistics, final mile delivery models, carrier processes, systems, pricing models, and service models
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and lead the development and implementation of initiatives in a cross functional business environment: Operations, Accounting, IT, and Administration
- Proficiency experience using mapping and mileage software.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with Order Management (Reducing Friction in the Process)
- A Passion for Customer Support (Seeking Information, Program Satisfaction, Issues Resolution and Problem Solver)
- Experience with Inventory Management Process (Ensuring all inventory movements are reconciled)
- Experience with Program Management and Project Management
- Experience with Process Standardization
- Experience with Cost Reduction Methodologies (Lean, Continuous Improvement)
- Experience with Operational Analysis (Continually Ensure Day-to-Day Optimization of Orders)
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (Uncover underlaying issues to prevent fallout and/or repeated errors)
- Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement (Dashboards; Development of Improvement Plans and Tactics with Implementation and Execution)
- Demonstrated experience with leadership skills and a validated ability to develop, coach and motivate suppliers or logistics service providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Reverse Logistics and/or Logistics Coordination experience is a plus.
- Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks
- Must have be results/data driven and a sense of urgency
- Must be self-directing and self-motivating
- Must be able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
