Zimmerman Associates, Inc. is excited to announce two full-time Library Technician positions available to support our government contract bid in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. The qualified candidate will focus on cataloging, metadata creation, record maintenance, and quality control tasks. However, other tasks will be assigned.
Responsibilities include:
- Previous clerical experience (library experience preferred).
- Possess basic computer skills (MS office, Spreadsheets and Email).
- Outstanding Organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of library resources including online catalogs, electronic databases, websites, and
bibliographies.
- Knowledge of procedures involved in the cataloging and classifying of library materials.
- Knowledge of Library classification systems.
- Ability to organize data accurately.
- Ability to learn specialized applications common to the library
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree / Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years of full-time experience working in a library
- Ability to obtain required agency -Public Trust
- - Clearance.
