Description

Protection Dogs Plus is a dog training facility that is looking for a motivated individual to join our team. We are not a daycare, public boarding kennel, and we do not offer playgroups so you will be working with a limited number of dogs that you will get to know well. We specialize in a high level of obedience and behavioral training for dogs of all breeds. 

Shifts:

We are looking for part time and full-time help. Candidate must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. This position can lead to a full-time position, or training apprentice position if desired.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Feeding and Preparing Meals for the dogs in our care.

Administering Medications and Preventatives

Walking Dogs and Supervising them while outdoors.

Cleaning and Sanitization of kennels, yards, and kitchen area.

Bathing, drying, and brushing Dogs as needed.

Recording pets elimination, consumption, health and behavioral notes, and weights.

Knowledge and Skills

Our ideal candidate would need the following attributes:

*Self motivated, efficient, and timely
*Good at communicating with peers
*Possess attention to detail
*Can work independently or with others.
*Can follow directions both verbal or written.
*Exhibit a professional, kind, and ethical manner to both people and dogs.
*Can lift up to 50 pounds, Able to stand on feet all day, and can handle walking large dogs.

This position is open to both those with and without previous experience; we are willing to train the right candidate. Please note that we deal with dogs of different breeds and temperaments, so being comfortable with all types of dogs is important. We will provide training for the job and dog handling protocols to all candidates.
