This Jr. Business Development Manager position is the best way to build a foundation in Federal sales, understand the Federal Contracting industry, and support a community of federal contractors, including tribally-owned businesses. Our Jr. Business Development Manager Training Program will prepare you for a successful career in Federal Contracting sales by offering extensive training paired with on-the-job shadowing and mentorship opportunities. The primary function of this position is to support a Senior Business Development Manager.
As a Jr. Business Development Manager, you will focus on various aspects of the business development process, including market research, prospecting, developing new professional/industry relationships, cultivating relationships within targeted federal agencies, maintaining positive relationships with existing clients, and hands-on experience with internal and external systems and tools, including customer relationship management tools (CRM).
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Supporting all aspects of the sales cycle, including reviewing federal contracting bid sites, contacting federal buyers, conducting market research, following up on leads, setting appointments, and actively maintaining internal customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Conduct extensive market research to track Federal spending trends, competitive positioning, and agency procurement announcements and discussions.
- Tracking sales activity with daily and weekly call reports and sales forecasts and assisting with preparing quarterly activity reports for clients.

- Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
