The Information Technology (IT) Manager will lead our IT department in managing and overseeing the technology infrastructure of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our overall IT strategy, policies, and initiatives in alignment with our business objectives. The IT Manager will also be tasked with maintaining and improving the efficiency and security of our IT environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develops and implements the IT strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
· Oversees the management of the IT department, including budgeting, planning, and staffing.
· Manages and optimizes IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and participant care and telecommunications systems.
· Leads IT projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
· Ensures the security of information and data, including cybersecurity measures and compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Evaluates and recommends new technology solutions that will enhance the company’s competitive edge.
· Establishes and maintains vendor relationships and oversee contract negotiations and service level agreements.
· Collaborates with executive management and stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
· Develops information technology guidelines and manages the implementation. Implements required training and staff professional development, and recommends and drafts policy revisions where needed
· Establishes the standards for technology hardware, software and communications protocols
· Maintains, reviews, and upgrades, as needed, the disaster recovery plans for the organizations recovery services including, but not limited to, information systems, network security and facilities
· Oversees all technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals
· Ensures the security of computer systems, facilities access control, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and telecommunications.
· Analyzes the business requirements of all departments to determine technology needs
· Manages the departments resources, including drafting and executing the budget, developing the organizational structure
· Provides vision for infrastructure implementation, facilities regulations and safety with data security
· Promotes the use of innovative technologies that will provide the highest benefits to the organization. Leads the introduction of new technologies in clinical healthcare
· Leads the design, specification and implementation of Kinship Health websites and data structures
· Implements an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organizations data and servers
· Examines construction and architectural blueprints to identify data structure and facilities safety
· Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques
· Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that proper training is obtained.
· Conducts secure infrastructure inspections as required by regulatory standards, policies and procedures
· Creates and implements departmental policies and procedure to ensure compliance
· Monitors mainframe system processing activities by observing console peripherals, input and output, to ensure throughput of data
· Develops and maintains the mainframe computer system operating schedules; analyzes computer system load and operating problems to utilize equipment and personnel effectively
· Coordinates the mainframe activities of data processing operations with programming, systems analysis, and with users
· Manages e-mails, passwords, encryption subscriptions, cell phone access, and all technology-based needs
· Determines appropriate reload and backup procedures for databases, and monitors and records impact of aborted jobs on data base and data communication files
· Directs the local and remote testing of network equipment, including running computer programs to diagnose faults
· Directs the performance of all functions required to prepare and install microcomputers and related equipment including connections to the data communications network
· Directs the preparation and installation of network software. Directs the diagnosis and resolution of network software problems
· Coordinates sending out equipment for repair. May occasionally perform any task assigned to subordinate staff, consistent with any licensing or certification requirements
· Directs the ordering and inventory of spare parts, computers, telecommunication and video devices
· Directs the training of users in the basic operation and maintenance of microcomputers and related components, as well as the cloud-based Electronic Health Record system
· Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, projects, and committees as assigned
· Be flexible in schedule of hours worked
· May require use of personal vehicle
QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Individuals must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:
· Standing – Duration of up to 6 hours a day
· Sitting/Stationary positions – Sedentary position in duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods
· Lifting/Push/Pull – Up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and ability to lift patients safely and using OSHA guidelines, etc.
· Bending/Squatting – Must be able to safely bend or squat to care for patients, use medical supplies, etc.
· Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – Must be able to safely maneuver stairs, climb up/down, and walk to access work areas Position requires the individual to be able to travel, and walk between sites/locations and work areas throughout the day
· Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools (ie. typing, use of medical supplies, equipment, etc.)
· Sight/Visual Requirements – Must be able to visually assess patients, read orders type/write documentation, etc. with accuracy
· Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (language) Requirements – Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual
· Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job
