Position Title:

  1. Intranet Content Manager-Marketing-Mount Sinai Hospital-Remote-Full Time-Days

Position Summary:

The Intranet Content Manager is responsible for developing, producing, publishing and maintaining content for the internal employee intranet, for departments, programs, services, educational offerings, leadership messages, and employee resources.


Responsibilities

  1. Develops and creates employee intranet content from concept to final publishing, using best internal communications practices for leadership messages, announcements, news, videos, educational information, employee resources/documents, and other employee-focused needs. Collaborates with Internal Communications, Marketing Managers, Writers, Editors, Graphic Designers, and Leadership Stakeholders to ensure accuracy, readability, and compliance with Mount Sinai editorial and brand standards.
  2. Uses the intranet content management system to ensure usability, easy access, and targeting of content to the appropriate internal audiences. Performs advanced content management tasks such as: maintaining document repositories, organizing messages, ensuring compliance with intranet governance, creating video pages, managing online assets (images and pdfs), creating carousels or image galleries, creating new intranet pages, deleting old pages, and migrating content to new templates.
  3. Responsible for measuring and tracking effectiveness of produced content via intranet analytics tool, and contributing to regular report backs to Internal Communications, Marketing Department Leadership, and System Leaders. Using metrics, proactively suggests updates to content and content organization to improve user engagement.

  5. Helps to build and maintain a knowledge base of content management procedures and protocols. Supports training of other communicators/project managers to maintain and update their intranet pages.
  6. Routinely publishes approved content to the intranet and performs quality assurance checks of published pages to ensure quality and accuracy. Raises concerns about any issues, initiates fixes, and works content stakeholders and with DTP and/or intranet vendor to track solutions.
  7. Establishes and builds relationships as necessary with stakeholders outside of department to facilitate efficient workflow.
  8. Works closely with others on the Internal Communications team to prioritize deliverables and/or deadlines, to resolve schedule conflicts, and to use best employee communications practices and Mount Sinai editorial and brand standards on the intranet.
  9. Keeps abreast of the best practices in intranet content development, usability, and employee engagement.


Qualifications

Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in communications/journalism/public relations/marketing or a related field or equivalent education and experience; Health care experience and internal communications experience preferred.

Experience

  1. 5+ years of experience in a professional business environment, with health related, writing and project management experience preferred

Computer Skills

  1. MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook – Intermediate
  2. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva – Intermediate
  3. Intranet Content Management (Sharepoint, Akumina, Simpplr, Workplace, Workvivo, or equivalent) – Intermediate

General Skills and Competencies

  1. Communication—excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and proof online content.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $79,720.00 - $119,580.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
