Overview

EXPLEO USA is looking for an Industrial/Mechanical Engineer to provide industrialization support in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supplier support activities: reporting, working with SPQD, deviation or waiver requests, and fit/form/function validation.
• Manufacturing support activities: approvals, concessions, and production operations.
• Data management activities: SAP master data support and PLM.
• Tool management activities, Purchase requisitions and orders, tracking tool usage and maintenance, coordinating engineering reviews to validate design prior to launching tooling.
• Change management activities: submitting change requests to engineering and implementing agreed changes.
• Creation of critical characteristics documents to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
• Management activities: report main issues to the Product Industrialization Manager regarding transfer activities, sourcing, industrial, and engineering teams. Tracking and reporting project progress and indicators.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

• Mechanical Engineer with an industrialization background
• Knowledgeable in various manufacturing activities including CNC Machining, Casting, Heat treatment, Painting, Injection Molding, and Tooling.
• Knowledgeable in interpreting engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T applications and CMM results.
• Experience in leadership and customer-focused teams.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others.
• Experience using engineering/manufacturing skillsets to manage supplier relationships.
• Organized, proactive, and agile with strong communication skills.
