We are a fast growing management firm seeking a full time handyman to join our team.

The candidate must have a wide range of technical know-how and manual dexterity to tackle a variety of tasks. They must be able to work with their hands, operating both hand and power tools. As such, they must be trained on the proper techniques for using tools like hammers, drills, wrenches, saws and other similar tools to make repairs. When it comes to technical knowledge, they must possess a working knowledge of basic household items like appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and any other piece of equipment that can be found in and/or around the house. The individual must have the knowledge and ability to troubleshoot miscellaneous issues as they arise. They must be self motivated, detail oriented, and well-organized.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and light repairs such as carpentry, painting, drywall repair, door repair, concrete repair, pick up refuse around properties...
• Perform routine property checks in order to identify and report any items needed for building repairs
• Meet contractors as needed (electrical, plumbing, HVAC...)
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow, water leaks...)

Skills

• Proven experience as handyman
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
• Experience working with commercial HVAC systems is a plus, but not required
• Good communication ability
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
