Thus, we're looking for a:

Deputy Minister of Brand Design - Brand Designer (for a 3 Month Contract)

You'll work with a Creative team to deliver best in class brand identities that enhances brand experience and design-driven storytelling. You will develop graphic assets for emerging visual storytelling platforms ensuring strategic, seamless experiences. You will report to both our Prime Minister of DBC and Prime Minister of Brand Strategy & Design while working closely with a cross-functional team dedicated to helping creatives thrive. You will communicate directly with key Editors, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to elevate the client's brand and visual identity

What you'll own:

  • All aspects of brand strategy and innovative brand identities and brand experience that are design-driven
  • Developing graphic assets for emerging visual storytelling platforms ensuring strategic, seamless experiences 
  • Working directly with key Editors, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to elevate the client's brand and visual identity
  • Communicating with peers, colleagues, and collaborators effectively and positively across the team
  • Explain WHY you made a creative decision
  • Organizing a project and lay out a timeline for clients
  • Project you may work on:
    Brand identity/branding, Banners and retargeting ads, Billboards + posters + Event flyers, Brochures (print + digital), Email marketing templates, Infographics, Logo brand development , Magazines + books + newspaper ads, PowerPoint Presentations, Social Media Ads (Tik-Tok, Twitter, IG, etc.) , Website Brand Identity

 

Qualities that you embody

  • >3 Years experience as a Professional Graphic Designer in Branding
  • You have great time management skills
  • You have excellent writing, editing and grammar skills
  • You have proficiency of latest design tools including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (other design programs a plus)
  • You are comfortable originating and developing creative content formats
  • You can orchestrate new processes and adapt to current systems to ensure things run smoothly
  • You have strong interpersonal capabilities and a sense of team goals
  • You're a hard worker and collaborator
  • You can work autonomously, communicating when you need assistance, but with potential solutions

Compensation (DBC Practices Pay Transparency)

  • This contract role is paid at $60,000/yr pro-rated for the 3 month contract

  • Supplementary are based on performance of both the Deputy Minister, the team and the Company
