Yelp is looking for a Global Mobility Manager to join our People team. We are focused on creating and supporting global policies and processes that maximize flexibility for our talent and business needs while ensuring compliance with global tax and immigration legislation.
As the Global Mobility Manager, you will own the creation, management, & execution of Yelp’s immigration, relocation, and global hiring needs across all Yelp entities and Employers of Record. You will continuously look for opportunities to drive improvement while reducing cost and complexity in support of Yelp’s global mobility needs. This role is a great opportunity to provide leadership and deliver employee-focused services in a global organization by collaborating with several cross-functional teams including Recruiting, People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and Legal.
This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.
Where You Come In:
- You will oversee and lead the Mobility team in administering Yelp’s global immigration and relocation policies.
- You will own key People mobility initiatives in support of Yelp’s business strategy and global hiring needs.
- You will bring a deeply analytical and process-oriented mindset with a focus on evidence-based decision making.
- You will support cross functional initiatives which depend on these core programs to define policies, processes, and operationalize the workflow.
- You will manage efforts to improve existing processes, fix pain points through automation, and update resources such as process documentation, policies, and training materials for compliance, accuracy and transparency.
- You will identify ways to measure and report consistently and regularly to ensure Yelp has the information needed to make key mobility decisions.
- You will stay up to date on industry, market and regulatory trends and best practices in areas of immigration and mobility to make informed policy decisions that drive business strategies and support Yelp’s core values.
- You will evaluate and communicate tools, content and deliver training regarding programs and processes.
- You will be the main point of contact and oversee vendor contracts for relocation, tax service, and immigration including invoicing and approval processes.
- You will handle escalated immigration and mobility issues and partner with team leaders across the company to make informed decisions that align with Yelp’s core values.
- You will be accountable for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), providing support to Legal and Audit teams, as appropriate.
What it Takes to Succeed:
- You have 10+ years’ experience in a global mobility capacity including immigration and mobility program management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- You are an expert on partnering with key stakeholders to challenge the status quo, while ensuring successful delivery of strategic business goals.
- You have the proven ability to diagnose problems with strategic thinking skills, as well as drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.
- You have strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations.
- You have experience evaluating, developing, and implementing process improvements through automation and process redesign to ensure scalability.
- You have a track record of successfully balancing competing priorities and driving projects to completion in a fast-paced environment and sometimes under conditions of ambiguity.
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to process disparate information and synthesize quickly.
- You have demonstrated experience building exceptional cross-functional relationships across an organization.
- You have high ethical standards in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- You have experience with Workday, JIRA, Google Suite and Microsoft Office software.
