Title: Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location: FULLY REMOTE

Duration: 6-month contract

Pay Rate: $70-80/h

MUST HAVES:

1. 3+ years of Ruby on Rails
2. 3+ years of JavaScript
3. Understanding of HTTP APIs
4. Understanding of OOD
5. 1+ years of React and Angular

About the Role:

Insight Global is looking for a REMOTE Full-stack Software Engineer to support one of our largest financial services clients in the Midwest. This individual will be working heavily with Ruby on Rails to develop RESTful API on the backend of several applications. This person will have to be strong in both front-end and back-end technologies. This individual will be mainly working on Trim’s customer facing features. This is a 6-month contract where you’ll work with our design, product, and engineering teams to build features for both our web and cross platform apps. This person will work with React and Angular on the front-end.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, articulate, and prioritize software requirements, working closely with the product, growth and operation teams.
2. Support a culture of code quality, documentation, and thoughtful design tradeoffs. Navigate between shipping quickly and long-term maintainability.
3. Develop new user facing features.
4. Build scalable frontend components for both the main application
5. Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into code.
6. Improve the performance, robustness, and scalability of our systems.
7. Invest in tools and automation to improve productivity across the whole team.
8. Teach, mentor and learn from your teammates. Lead and participate in internal tech talks.
