What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be a key leader on a scaling team, with a significant impact on our clinical documentation features—a core part of the provider experience.

1. You will spend 60% of your time working full-stack across our codebase with a primary focus on frontend development.
2. You will dedicate 10% of your time to planning complex, multi-team projects with stakeholders, guiding execution and ensuring successful delivery.
3. You will own 10% of your time to the team’s technical execution, helping to set goals and refine prioritization practices.
4. You will use 10% of your time to mentor and uplift other software engineers.
5. You will go beyond your immediate team, spending 10% of your time to improve engineering practices across your domain.

How You’ll Do It

1. You will gain a deep empathy for our providers—understanding their workflows, their challenges, and their needs.
2. You will design, develop, and implement scalable features using our modern tech stack, including React, TypeScript, Python, Django, and MySQL.
3. You will build both provider-facing and internal tools that are critical to clinical care.
4. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to conceptualize and build pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
5. You will ensure everything you build meets our high standards for performance, scalability, and security.

Who You Are

1. You have 6-10 years of experience as a software engineer with a proven history of working across the stack (with a frontend focus) and building products at scale.
2. You enjoy the challenge of collaborating on complex projects and guiding them to completion.
3. You have extensive experience with modern web technologies and frameworks.
4. You possess a strong understanding of accessibility (a11y) and security compliance.
5. You have implemented automated testing platforms and are committed to code quality.
6. You are proficient with Git and modern versioning workflows.
7. You thrive in a customer-centered development process and love collaborating closely with a cross-functional team.
8. You have a desire to experiment, learn from outcomes, and use research and data to inform your decisions.
