Responsibilities:
- Functions as a point of contact for assigned client accounts—works with team’s clients and account reps on writing projects, with responsibility for maintaining consistency of client messaging across written materials.
- Establishes and cultivates strong client relationships, provides strategic counsel, and successfully manages content programs to meet client goals
- Collaborates with team to develop digital and social media strategies and content
- Conceptualizes day-to-day content (e.g. bylines, press releases, talking points, award nominations, bios, social copy) as well as more complex content (e.g. white papers, scripts, marketing materials), manage timelines, and deliver copy and materials within deadlines.
- Manages consistency of branding and marketing messages across all client materials.
- Manages updates client content files; including revised messaging narrative and campaign
- Works with assigned team to develop original ideas for PR campaigns; and to strategize, gather information, and revise existing materials.
- Supports team with content development, talking points etc. for crisis and reputation management as needed
- Edits and supports content for new business materials as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education: College degree; or equivalent related business experience.
Experience and Expertise:
- Seven (7)+ years of content/writing experience, with an emphasis in the financial services sector (asset management, wealth management, alternative investments etc.), fintech, legal, and insurance are helpful categories.
- Outstanding writing skills that clearly demonstrate the ability convey a message in the appropriate voice and tone to an audience in an engaging, organized manner
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, handle details accurately, follow up, and complete tasks within specified deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in various software applications; including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of PR related software including but not limited to Cision, Meltwalter, etc.
