Hours: Up to 20 to 30 hours per week, April-November, Wednesday-Sunday are must work days in summer months. For winter months, November-April, 15-20 hours per week, weekends are flexible but not necessary.

Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Description: Zannah Farms is a local flower farm growing seasonal flowers providing flowers to the community with a roadside flower stand, CSA, and wedding/event florals. We're hiring a Farm Hand to assist with flower harvesting, planting, weeding, landcare, and general farm and house maintenance. Light farming experience, farm equipment maintenance or household repairs, cleaning, caretaking, security, and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Harvest flowers according to schedule and quality standards.
• Planting, cultivating, watering, and maintaining flower beds.
• Weed flower beds for a pristine appearance.
• Perform basic handyperson tasks around the farm and houses.
• Land Care such as weed wacking, mowing, tilling, blowing, and power washing outdoor surfaces as needed.
• Assist in event set up and take down.
• Cleaning buckets, and composting.
• Managing trash, and basic building clean up.
• Cleaning buildings, gutters, and pavement
• Maintenance of farming equipment and purchasing supplies.
• Flower delivery and help installing for events
• Work with flower stand as needed
• Tractoring

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors and lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
• Organized, dependable, responsible, problem solver.
• Can work early mornings during the summer at 6:30 am.
• Handyperson skills are a plus.
