Environmental Service Supervisor

Compensation: $18-23/ Hr. (DOE)

Job Responsibilities:

• Directs and manages the Environmental Services program to ensure clean, disinfected, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment by performing duties personally or directing job tasks through department employees.
• Creates schedules, reviews processes, and advice on ways to improve the services provided to patients, visitors, and other departments.
• Assists with the review of staffing levels.
• Inspects, audits, and evaluates job tasks for EVS employees.
• Works closely with nursing staff to overturn rooms and follow through with requested job tasks.
• Trains, coaches, and in-services staff as necessary.
• Communicates to the Engineering department any equipment repairs needed.
• Occasionally works as part of the cleaning crew, cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms.
• Responsible for the ordering of supplies needed for the daily EVS operations. Also responsible for keeping data such as rooms cleaned within an hour or less, hand hygiene compliance, and PPE compliance.
• Ensures regulatory compliance for sanitation, for patients, guests, and employees.
• Generates pertinent policy & procedure to ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation standards.
• Coordinates rental linen and uniform efforts. Participates in employee awareness and education.
• Participates in mandatory director meetings.

Requirements:

• Must pass the background check performed by ERN Services.
• Must pass a physical examination as required by the client.
• Must provide proof of legal status to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of all phases of housekeeping techniques and related equipment Knowledge of JCAHO, and I.D.P.H. Codes & requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Must show proof of vaccination.

• Management: 2 years (Required)
