Job Description:

LIVunLtd is looking for an experienced Events Director to join our team on as contracted consultant. This position is contracted as a 5 months consultant agreement.

 


The Events Director will oversee day-to-day related event and facility functions and activities, and administer company policies and procedures. As the Events Director you will serve as the main point of contact for all things related to event requests. This position requires travel. You will be required to be on site in Houston, Texas 2-3 days every 2 weeks. Travel will be expensed and paid for by LIVunLtd.

 


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • For the initial 5 Months, position to be contracted out to an industry expert who specializes in structuring the event process
  • Trains the Asst. Event Director to carry out all event Director responsibilities
  • Forges new relationships at the local level, including hotels, commercial buildings, residences and schools within a 10 mile radius
  • Engages with philanthropic endeavors within the community
  • Oversees all operations pertaining to the Lawns activations and events
  • Works collaboratively with LIV’s Creative Director in development and curation of event ideation and curation
  • Ensures that the events are carefully followed/executed based off of ownership-approved schedule and vision
  • Communicates to PR and Marketing team on a weekly basis to ensure all MetrNational events are clearly communicated.
  • Oversees the signage used for event activations
  • Manages relationships with all third party vendors
  • Creates and maintains collaborations with new partnerships on and off campus
  • Designs new perks with partners for the benefit of all residents and tenants throughout the campus
  • Coordinates with local authorities, arranging for permits, security and overall management of activations
  • Ensures that all parties are working cohesively
  • Provides event summary and all data reports to ownership
  • Manages all financial reporting
  • Database Management
  • Oversees the reporting of all data to ownership
  • Communicates effectively with IT to maintain exposure around activations and data
  • Attends all events

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years experience in high end event planning
  • In-depth knowledge of Houston attractions, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping.
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable about the hospitality industry.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages is an additional asset
  • Knowledge of BuildingLink and Salesforce are bonus qualities.
  • Proficient in Google suite
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staffing, other management and clientele.
