RTI International’s Center for Applied Economics and Strategy (CAES) is seeking a talented Environmental Engineering Applications Developer to join its software development and operations team. The successful candidate has a demonstrated interest in environmental issues and/or working with environment-focused data and will design, build, and maintain software to support a diverse portfolio of contract- and grant-funded research in the areas of the environment and natural resources, agriculture, energy efficiency, innovation, and economic development. This position within RTI’s Environment Practice Area will contribute meaningfully to some of RTI's most successful programs and includes opportunities to join a multidisciplinary team, contribute to scientific publications, and see all aspects of the software development process.
Responsibilities
This individual will be working with a team of software engineers to both maintain and develop new features and improvements to existing software-as-a-service products as well as lead the design and development of brand-new software products. Ideal candidates enjoy working with all facets of web application development, will thrive working as a part of multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of types of projects and have a can-do attitude, passion for technology and be able to get up to speed and contribute to the team quickly.
