How can you make an Impact?


The Director, Product and Training is responsible for defining product, training and service solutions for large governmental and institutional customers, as well as internal clients, that are effective and easy to use. In this role you will support the needs across the international business regions ranging from product-specific knowledge to professional development. The solutions you help support will be used across PK-12 segment.


You will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to include content experts, project managers, business managers, sales and marketing teams, feeling confident interacting directly with the customer organization at all levels.


In addition, you will work closely with the VP, Product – International, and regional teams to determine how support is defined and implemented.


What will you do?

  • Direct and oversee PK-12 product and training opportunities across international business regions, to include U.S. curriculum, Center of Excellence generated product, local initiatives, government and institutional deals, and English Language Teaching developments
  • Lead and manage the relationship and communication around curriculum, academic design, and content development with key stakeholders. Facilitate relationships and communication lines with colleagues in the US School Group representing the international requirements
  • Provide guidance and support for government and institutional business, directly oversee product development teams and hiring resources, as needed, to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget
  • Provide project leadership and guidance on various international publishing initiatives for PK-12 and ELT
  • Lead local publishing teams to ensure product is correctly aligned to market needs, meet market deadlines, and work within approved budgets. Helps managers lead change effectively through agreed processes
  • Provide guidance and support for Pre K-12 product training, as well as academic training, to include methodology, pedagogy, education trends, etc.
  • Provide support to the VP, Product – International, as required

What can you bring to the role?

  • Master’s degree, or higher in education, educational publishing, training, or combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working with education products; expertise in both digital and print delivery
  • Awareness of competitive landscape across PK-12 within international contexts
  • Line management experience and /or team leadership
  • Confident, objective, inquisitive, motivated self-starter
  • Ability to turn visions into profitable solutions; must think and act strategically
  • Proactive, flexible leader who develops and nurtures relationships
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate across functional teams
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, while dealing with various levels of ambiguity
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; must be a direct, articulate, and thoughtful communicator and trainer
  • Displays practical business sense, fiscal skills, and accountability
  • Ability to present program strategies, plans, and finished products to senior management, sales force, and customers
  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and seek solutions to problems

  • Experience overseeing content for digital product delivery
  • Strong knowledge of e-Learning solutions
  • Working knowledge of a foreign language

The pay range for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
