The Director of Marketing & Media Analytics plays a vital role in delivering senior management a unified and centralized view of all Marketing/Media performance in both a granular (specific campaign & tactic) and high-level format. This individual will both participate in and oversee a group of junior analysts who will be responsible for delivering reports, analysis and insights around campaigns and marketing performance across multiple marketing channels (Direct Mail, Email, Mass Media and Digital). This includes marketing aimed at individual consumers (residential) and small-to-medium-sized Businesses (SMB). This role will also assist in the creation and maintenance of other cross-departmental reporting and analytics duties while frequently interacting with senior leadership across all levels of the marketing organization. This individual must have outstanding collaboration, and attention to detail skills while ensuring that all analytics, reporting & the presentment data & presentations are accurate & coherent.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with complex data in a relational database environment, and uses numerous data sources to determine the best approach to create reports, and analyze strategy performance.
Leads automation of reporting and marketing reporting infrastructure development.
Manages the completion of standard and ad hoc reports and analysis based on data from a variety of sources.
Serve as an analytics, reporting, and insights lead across Charter’s marketing & media department covering a wide variety of digital, direct, & traditional media & marketing tactics.
Lead a team of both Sr. and Jr. level analysts with varying degrees of technical & analytical prowess to enhance both transparency and measurement of the marketing effectiveness of multichannel campaigns for senior leadership to ingest.
Develops metrics for success; creates next-generation marketing campaign measurement platform, reporting and analysis. Requires a deep understanding of how systems work and how to get at data to drive analysis.
Manages and evaluates marketing campaigns, tests and makes recommendations to improve both marketing and total company performance.
Identifies areas of opportunity for new programs and campaigns. Drives marketing ROI through innovative reporting and process improvements.
Keep abreast of key industry and product trends, including both the segmentation/analytics industry as well as the industries of all current Charter products and services.
Drive relationships with Charter’s internal and external marketing partners by infusing analytics and critical-thinking into large-scale marketing program-based decisions.
Serve as a research, data, and insights expert for multiple marketing & media tactical leaders to enable them to enhance their programs to accomplish both marketing & overall company objectives.
Audit data and metrics quality gathered across multiple systems into reports to identify and communicate trends for business owners to consider.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Computer/Data Science; or MBA/advanced degree
