Expectations:
Ensures strategic planning, creates budget, provides operational oversight for education, training, clinical staffing and library resources. Maintains oversight of organizational clinical staff development & education, monitoring outcomes, collaboration with Magnet program leadership to contribute to and support nursing shared governance goals, optimizing academic partnerships to support strategic plan and facilitate effective succession planning. Cultivates and nurtures affiliations with academic partners. Directs the development of education and training programs and facilitates implementation to ensure consistent communication of patient care and hospital standards throughout the organization. EDUCATION: BSN required. Master’s Degree in Education, Organization Development or related discipline required. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Minimum 7 years related experience in training and/or education. Minimum 5 years in managing academic partnerships. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by State of California Nursing Professional Development Board Certification (NPD-BC) or Nurse Executive (NE-BC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) SKILLS: Outstanding analytical skills and ability to propose and implement effective and practical training solutions. Advanced knowledge/experience developing clinical training programs. Advanced knowledge/experience in computer applications necessary for training. Proven stand-up platform and instructor skills. Knowledge of adult learning processes, instructional design techniques and platforms and evaluation methodology.
