Role

We are seeking a very Senior Structural Engineer for a key role within our engineering organization, where as part of a team, but as a senior/lead member, you will:

1. Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes, specifications and standards
2. Provide drawings and sketches for your designs, produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters
3. Layout and detail portions of projects using schematics and sales drawings
4. Serve as Project Leader/Senior Project Engineer and as a designated Client Contact on projects
5. Direct and supervise Designers/Drafters activities on projects
6. Research design options, document findings, review shop drawings
7. 
   

In This Senior Role, You Will Be Responsible For

1. Performing Structural engineering calculations.
2. Creating/Designing, reviewing and supervising the development of Structural engineering plans, designs, and layouts.
3. Creating/managing Structural project specifications.
4. Performing the Preliminary Structural engineering design for project proposals.

Qualifications

1. Ideally qualified candidates will bring with them a Bachelor or Master of Science degree ( Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar)
2. PRIORITY CONSIDERSATION will be given to those who are either a Licensed PE or a Licensed SE - DESIRED, but not a FIRM REQUIREMENT.
3. This is a SENIOR role, requiring at LEAST five or more years of direct, Hands on and project management experience in Structural Engineering, along with an understanding of governing codes, specifications and standards (AISC, IBC, RMI, AISI, ASCE, ASTM).
4. Knowledge designing within Chapter C" Design for Stability" of the AISC Code is important experience to bring to the role.
5. Technical qualifications/requirements include hands on experienced with RISA or SCIA structural design software, and/or another Structural Engineering, Analysis & Design package, or FEA tool.
6. Previous DESIGN EXPERIENCE using various Three-Dimensional/3D tools such as Tekla Software, Solid works, or other Advanced Structural Software, will be needed.
7. Previous Project Management experience with the ability to manage and perform project tasks in a detail-oriented manner, in a fast-paced environment
8. There will be a need for this Engineer to be a key contributor to both COMPANY ONLY and CLIENT MEETINGS, thus strong communication skills and significant presentation skills are a must and will be part of the role.
