About the Role

A leading global freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join their team in Iselin, NJ. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and has a strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate customs entries for air and ocean import shipments
• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
• Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and other government agencies
• Communicate with customs officials, clients, and internal teams to resolve entry issues
• Monitor shipment documentation and maintain accurate records
• Handle post-entry amendments, duty calculations, and audits as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage or import operations
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification
• Experience with ABI systems and customs entry software
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
