Job Description:

The creative director will partner with sales representatives to create proactive marketing campaigns to drive new business development and grow current business using promotional products and concepts. The creative director must have an innovative, visionary mindset, be highly experienced in a variety of graphic design mediums, have excellent networking and interpersonal skills, be able to effectively and energetically communicate with spoken word and visuals, and accurately handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This person will employ their vast knowledge of design concepts, product knowledge, trends, brand development, and innovation to develop multi-faceted promotional campaigns.

Must-have: solid understanding of layout, composition, typography, and design aesthetic; ability to develop creative promotional campaigns within both strict confines and boundless possibilities; outstanding organizational abilities, project and time management skills, driven and assertive approach to innovative ideas, refined interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and energetically, capability to visualize a project and see it through to completion

Professional experience requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design or a related position is preferred. In the absence of a degree, extensive experience which demonstrates a solid understanding of graphic design and art direction may suffice. Seven to ten years of experience in creative directing and a developed art portfolio is necessary.

Necessary Program skills: must be adept at Adobe Creative Suite; Microsoft Office

The creative director will:

  • Proactively develop innovative marketing and promotional initiatives which grow and enhance customer brands, events, culture, and ideas
  • Design and develop both specific and broad-reaching marketing ideas
  • See projects through from idea conception through deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives and customers to create relevant and compelling promotional campaigns
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
  • Have potential, over time, to lead a creative team in developing designs based on proven marketing tactics
