In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of shaping and advancing financial policies, procedures, and systems to propel our company's growth trajectory. This role offers a defined career path to the CFO position and additional incentive compensation.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CONTROLLER:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of forward-thinking financial systems.
  • Craft insightful month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports that provide strategic insights.
  • Deliver timely and impactful financial reports and distributions to investors, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a 3rd party CPA/tax firm to align financial strategies with our growth objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate audits with an eye toward process improvement.
  • Drive corporate and property tax planning initiatives that align with our strategic goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CONTROLLER:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA status is a definite asset.
  • Showcase a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
  • Some experience in public accounting in tax or audit preferred
  • Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of Subchapter K tax issues, partnership tax returns, and individual taxation.
  • Showcase a deep understanding of real estate financials, tax codes, and laws.
  • Knowledge of multifamily real estate financials and operations preferred.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting requirements.
