Opportunity Overview:

In this role, you’ll produce technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files. Join this fun, collaborative and cutting-edge team as they work. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions
• Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years’ experience required
• Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to read some programming code
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to accomplish objectives that span multiple product or subject areas and possess proactive and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Have excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Participate in planning and design and contribute to a project from end to end with minimal supervision.
• Strong project management skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to combine technical expertise with technical communication skills is required.
• Must have demonstrated interest in, and knowledge of, broad but related areas of technology.
• Advanced knowledge of the specified technology as well as additional technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee a complex documentation set.
• The ability to work under deadline pressure is required. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications [Nice to have].

Estimated Start Date: 7/1/2023

Contract End Date: 12/31/2023

Location: Remote (but if ATL or WA prefers hybrid)

Rate: $50 - $53 / hourly
