Job Description:


UDC is actively hiring for a Content Manager to join our growing Marketing team. The UDC Content Manager will support the development, distribution, and strategic efforts of creating messaging to inform and engage audiences. This role involves knowledge of digital marketing software, tools, and methods with a focus on content generation.

Web-based Content Marketing

  1. Assist in original content creation, editing, and curation to support long-term and short-term content publishing and social media calendars.
  2. Write and assist UDC team members with creating new content.
  3. Incorporate keyword and SEO tactics into content-generation activities.
  4. Support the expansion of the company’s web presence through social media, email, web advertising, and other online sources.
  5. Collaborate with web development and design teams as needed.
  6. Assist in monitoring UDC content performance through online tools such as Google Analytics, Online publishing (Energy Central) status updates and LIN profile analytics.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in online marketing.

Marketing

  1. Develop and distribute timely, relevant content for our target audiences.
  2. Support topic development and campaigns for our company.
  3. Drive engagement and traffic through various content projects.

Sales Support

  1. Support content strategies that help UDC reach its traffic and sales lead development goals.
  2. Develop sales collateral materials and tools aligned with defined goals and strategies, including writing, editing, and graphic design of content.
  3. Assist to communicate and train on marketing initiatives as it impacts the sales team or companywide.
  4. Assist to develop, audit, and curate content for use in sales proposals, RFI’s and RFQ’s.

Brand Management

  1. Assist to audit existing content on the company’s website for brand voice, relevance, and optimization.
  2. Support a consistent brand identity through the company’s social media profiles.

Additional Duties

  1. Stays up-to-date on new trends and technologies in the marketing industry so they can be leveraged when relevant.
  2. Actively participates in cross-departmental project teams as needed.
  3. Researches and applies marketing best practices and identifies opportunities for continued professional development.







Location:

Remote, must be willing to travel up to 10% (9 days per quarter)








What we look for from you

  1. Proficient in copywriting, proofreading, and editing.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  6. Experience with video editing and hosting software – Camtasia, Vimeo, YouTube
  7. Experience with Google Analytics
  8. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Stock
  9. Possess graphic design and link-building capabilities
  10. Basic understanding of website layout and design (html and CSS a plus)
  11. SharePoint experience






Education and/or Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
  2. At least one year of experience in a related field.
  3. A background in utility GIS data and system integration services is preferred.








Compensation Range: $50,000-$60,000/annually, annually depending on job title level, experience, and location.
