CAD Designer for a leading engineering firm based in Alpharetta, GA. This role uses CAD software to create, revise, and issue mechanical piping and equipment layout drawings. Required Qualifications
 

• Three (3) years experience preparing project drawings in AutoCAD
• Experience developing piping and mechanical equipment layouts
• Ability to create 3D layouts
• Able to produce plan, elevation and isometric views
   

Preferred
 

• Experience in piping systems
• Familiar with industry codes and standards including ASME B31.4, NFPA 30 and API RP 500

Responsibilities
 

• Uses CAD software to create, revise, and issue mechanical piping and equipment layout drawings
• Provide support to engineers by preparing general piping layouts, detail section views, isometrics, sketches and Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Prepare and revise project drawings in AutoCAD /Plant 3D
• Develop piping and mechanical equipment layouts based on P&IDs, field sketches and vendor specifications and drawings.
• Create bills of material for piping and equipment layout drawings.
