This position is responsible for;
- Assist the Consumer Marketing & Advertising unit in the process of developing and implementing scheduled and special marketing/advertising programs during the year.
- Track, route, and proof various advertising campaign elements including, but not limited to, out-of-home, digital, and print advertising items
- Communicate current advertising campaign information to Engagement and retention Marketing for the Lottery’s digital properties.
- Responsible for routing documents/assets to the legal division for review and approval.
Job Description and Duties:
Under the supervision of the Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing Manager II, and the Chief, Consumer Marketing & Advertising, with the Senior Marketing Specialist as lead, the Marketing Analyst I is responsible for reviewing advertising messages. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring advertising campaign information is effectively provided to Online Marketing for the Lottery Website in a timely manner.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialization in marketing, communications, or related field.
- At least one year of Marketing Analyst I experience or two years of experience performing marketing duties involving planning, development, and evaluation of short-term marketing projects in marketing and advertising at client/brand or agency.
- Basic knowledge of consumer/trade promotions, advertising, media, graphic design and copywriting aesthetics or related areas. Experience in marketing project management (brand, corporate agency or publisher side preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring project development, drafting proposals and gaining management approval.
- Ability to review and interpret marketing metrics/data and analytical information and translate it into actionable business results and recommendations. Ability to evaluate programs, draw sound conclusions and develop practical action plans.
- Ability to maintain marketing calendars, draft marketing updates/reports and provide input on strategic marketing assets. Ability to draft campaign close-out reports.
- Self-motivated, curious, and passionate about marketing, basic knowledge of current and emerging marketing and advertising strategies and tactics with a passion for learning and innovation.
- Ability to manage and track budgets.
- Experience with Microsoft programs including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable, but not required.
